Pickering High School Sports College
Pickering Sports College was the second school to opt for the full ten week package. Pupils from year 9 made up the group, with some non anglers and some already keen anglers amongst the group.
The classroom lessons proved popular, but it was the on the bank session that really took off with this group. Using two venues, H&DAA's Kingfisher pond, and Messingham Sands Small Match Lake, it was amazing to see how much progress the group made.
On the last classroom session the group designed and produced an excellent large wall display, a fitting testament to the work they had done over the previous ten weeks.
Two lads won rewards days, which took place at Messingham Sands, where they had a terrific day catching several double figure carp.
