Receiving an award

Angling has been shown to be a useful media for helping schools and other organisations working with young people to achieve their wider educational and social objectives. The opportunity for young people to develop their knowledge and understanding of a range of academic subjects through the diverse aspects of lessons based around angling is beyond question.

"Angling gives students a sense of the countryside and helps them gain an understanding of nature, the environment, ecology, water safety, an the wildlife that surrounds you when you go fishing.
